The Animus Art Festival on Torum was concluded successfully!

The first NFT Art Festival in spring of 2022 was a resounding success. Artworks featured in the event then included digital paintings, photos, poetry and PFP collections.
We raised nearly 1,050 XTM in Torum Gifts from the Community, which was sent to the Artists and many a #HighLander also let their #TorumSpirit shine, by participating in the auction and raising over 550 USD for children in need.
However, the prizes were distributed to so many Artists, that the impact of the support they received was negligible after the 70% deduction on Torum Gifts.
This time around, we had FIVE events, and an extra Meme Contest at the end of the Festival. We counted no less than 52 participants – more than double the number in spring 2022!

ART BLITZ
This is a fun, breezy and unrestricted event, which every eligible Artist can join (to be eligible to participate in the Animus Art Festival on Torum, you must have published or minted an artwork in your niche before 01.05.2022).
No theme or specific medium. Enter your best, family-friendly work in any medium and genre—from photography to painting to music. Anything goes!

SNAPSHOT
Similar to the Art Blitz, but limited to photography only. The only restriction is that this is intended for professional career or amateur photographers, who are serious about their craft and wish to sell their photos.
Therefore, applicants must have an online photo gallery with images put up for sale before 01.05.2022.

LANDER SWAG
This is a graphic design contest. Participants will be challenged to create designs that complement three different types of merchandise—T-shirt, cup and a cap, for example.
The idea is to create a visualisation of TORUM’s Community and the passionate Torum Spirit, so that Landers can represent the platform, wherever they go.
The winning designs will be printed on merchandise in time for the next Animus Art Festival on Torum. Designs must feature the TORUM and Festival logos.

CREATIVE WRITING
Storytellers wanted!
Participants will receive a topic in creative writing and will be tasked to produce a short story/essay within 550 words.

THEMED CONTEST
This is the crown jewel of the Festival. Artists will receive a general theme, which is open to multiple interpretations, as well as a few specific elements from which to build up and create a unique artwork within two-three weeks.
The Artist may choose how best to capture and convey the central theme, for example, they may select to visualise it (photography, painting, 3D animation, sculpture, sketching, etc.) or opt to choose a non-graphic medium such as a short story or a piece of music.
The top 5 winners all received CASH prizes!
These five events encouraged artists to shine brightly, showcasing diverse skills, from freestyle to interpreting a specific theme.
The goal of the Animus Art Festival is to discover and uplift talented, yet unknown NFT creators and strengthen the art community by supporting artists, as well as educating the public about blockchain projects and decentralised culture. It also serves to create awareness about our visionary patron brands and sponsors, who empower us to discover new talent and promote the arts.
The two main events were theme-bound, and artists had to create specific works to enter these competitions.
Creative Writing – “Torum Avatar Origins”
Artists were to pick any Torum Avatar and write a story about their origins and adventures in the Torum Metaverse.
The piece had to be between 200 and 550 words.
Themed Art Contest – “Torum Metaverse”
The artists’ vision of the Torum Metaverse, using any artistic medium to capture and project their best idea of what a Metaverse built on a #SocialFi platform could feel like.
