The NFT Art Festival was organised and financed by the Animusian Artists’ Collective, as well as the Torum Community, which came together to raise prizes worth 1,040 XTM to support the participating artists and $US 550 through an art auction for charity.
Artworks featured in the event include: digital paintings, photos, poetry and PFP collections.
The Torum Art Contest was split into three distinct events:
-
ART BLITZ
The community was invited to submit any published or unpublished work of applied arts –painting, drawing, sketch, music, poetry… No limitations! The winners were decided via community vote.
-
THEMED CONTEST
The theme of this contest was “Torum Spirit” and artists were asked to submit a rare piece of art work, no PFP, max mint 50 pieces. Low effort AI art was not accepted. Winners were decided via community vote and a panel of judges.
-
ART AUCTION
100% of the proceeds went to support an orphanage catering to mentally disabled and vulnerable children in Malaysia, with more than $500 raised and 1k XTM in prizes collected for the participating artists.
These three events encouraged artists to shine brightly, showcasing diverse skills, from freestyle, to interpreting a specific theme (this time the theme was “Torum Spirit”),
to community work/promotion/sales.
Over 20 artists submitted their works in February and in March
the Auction event raised close to $US 550 in art sales to 20 collectors.
The next event is planned to
straddle September and October 2022.
The goal will be to discover and uplift talented, yet unknown NFT creators and strengthen the art community by supporting artists, as well as educating the public about blockchain projects and decentralised culture. It will also serve to create awareness about our visionary patron brands and sponsors, who empower us to discover new talent and promote the arts.
